In fact, 1 in 6 children in Northern Virginia is at risk of experiencing hunger. This is unacceptable! No child should ever be left wondering where their next meal will come from. Compounded with the other detrimental effects that poverty can have on a youth’s mind and body, poverty can significantly affect a child’s development.

This chapter of the national non-profit, the Assistance League, works with our local community to transform our children’s lives through philanthropic community programs.
